Mobapad M6 HD Joycons Nintendo Switch Controller Black

I will never use another joycon, they fit my large hands (im 6,4”) perfectly and knowing stick drift won’t be an issue down the road hopefully I will never need to purchase anything else. I also love the clicky switches on the buttons it is fun until my wife is sleeping and we are in bed together. Lol. Love love love. End game controller. It simply dosnt get better than this. shipping took one week for florida, usa.

So I was given a used Switch OLED from my lovely and gracious mother in law. She maybe thought it was going to be used primarily by her grandkids, but screw them, I’ve already bought them older non OLED switches, and those things are more crumbs than machine at this point…

Anyway, my plan was to finally get around to playing (and finishing) Hollow Knight, but after a few hours of play it was coming back to me how god awful the stock joycon experience can be, and that’s being generous.

I looked up some upgrade options and saw that Hori had something decent in stock at a nearby store, but apparently they don’t have rumble? Gross, I know.

The Mobapad M6 HD was a little pricier, but on sale, and seemed to fit the bill of what I was looking for perfectly. Coming from Japan, it also looked as if it would take a little longer to get here, but I was already sold on them at that point, and wouldn’t you know it, they ended up getting here in only 4 days.

I was expecting something on par with what the major consoles offer as their default baseline controllers, but these are easily a full tier above that.

The mechanical buttons feel amazing, the sticks feel hall effect-y, and hot damn, this d-pad has awoken something deep inside me…

I’m not a big custom or premium controller guy, but you always hear people snobbing out over bad dpads. And while I thought I understood, I don’t use one all that often, and figured a good dpad was probably a little overblown.

But no! It turns out I’m the one who was overblown! Again, I don’t really know what I’m talking about, not a controller aficionado, but whatever this is here is the good stuff. I may even buy the full size Mobapad controller to use on my PC while I’m at it, because I don’t know if I want to go back to my Xbox series and Dual Sense controllers, with their inferior clicks and what I can only assume now to be dumpster fire grade dpads.

And don’t even get me started on the swappable magnetic faceplates that I definitely didn’t realize were magnetic until one them magically left my hand and snapped into place perfectly.

Did they need to be magnetic? No, and to be honest that’s a ridiculous question for you to even ask. That’s just the kind of dedicated sickos that work for Mobapad, my new favorite accessory company.

Did I need to write a 2600+ character long review on a morning where I called in sick to work? I don’t know, why don’t you live your life and I’ll live mine.

Should they rename the Mobapad M6 HD to Mobapad mmmSex HD because of how good it is? Yeah, they should probably strongly consider that at the very least.

I’ve tried a “pro” Joycon replacement from a competitor that had similar specs and the fit and finish was lacking, buttons felt cheap though they had micro switches, and worst of all when disconnected and used wirelessly both joycons suffered random input lag that made them unuseable. These Mobapad joycons IMMEDIATELY felt superior out of the box. The fit and finish is superb and they look like they are almost integrated into the console itself when attached. And they are a tight fit sliding on, but when they are ok they are TIGHT without even the slightest wiggle, again adding to that fully integrated feel. The buttons and sticks felt WAY better too, and even though both joycons had micro switches, the Mobapad ones feel tight and high end instead of a cheap clicky feel. The whole design just feels more cohesive. And even though I don’t plan on almost ever taking these off the console since they make it feel like a completely different handheld, I did try them wirelessly with a few different games and I didn’t have a single hiccup or issue, perfect connectivity while sitting on the couch. Also, HD rumble works well with just liiiiiittle bit of plastic vibration noise, but it is on par with the factory joycons. If you are even slightly interested in getting a handheld-specific set of joycons, seriously don’t look any further, just buy these right now, they are worth every penny spent. I immediately sent back the competition and asked for a refund once I realized how sub par they were in comparison to these.

They are my favorite joycons and they also have excellent customer service.
