Mobapad P1 Carrying Case for Nintendo Switch 2-Ultra-Slim, Shockproof, Joystick-Safe with Premium YKK Zippers

I have been travelling for work recently and I've been testing out this case for the past 2 weeks and I like it a lot overall.

Pros:
- Super slim case that adds minimal bulk in my backpack during flights.
- Case is an exact fit for the console (it won't move around when its inside)
- The overall quality feels good (exterior texture feels durable, smooth zippers)
- Handle makes it easy to take in and out of my backpack
- Inside of the case has a nice soft velvety texture

Cons:
- This is a very slim case, so there's no space for carrying anything else aside from a few games

Cliente fidèle de Mobapad (et toujours utilisatrice de leurs Joycons HD sur ma Switch OLED), j’attendais avec curiosité leurs premiers accessoires pour la Switch 2. J’ai eu l’occasion de tester leur coque de transport Mobapad P1 ultra slim, et c’est clairement la première fois qu’un modèle de ce type m’a donné envie de l’utiliser au quotidien.

Jusqu’à maintenant, je n’utilisais jamais de saccoche : trop épaisses, trop rigides, souvent mal finies ou pas du tout adaptées à la forme réelle de la console.
Mais ici, ce qui m’a attirée, c’est le mot “ultra slim”, et surtout la promesse d’un ajustement vraiment pensé pour la Switch 2 — et sur ce point, Mobapad ne déçoit pas.

Dès la réception, on sent que le produit a été bien conçu. Le packaging est propre et soigné, avec une boîte rigide et un couvercle transparent qui laisse entrevoir la coque. J’ai choisi le coloris noir, sobre et passe-partout.

Mais c’est surtout la finesse de cette coque qui m’a bluffée. C’est probablement la saccoche la plus fine que j’ai vue, tout en étant parfaitement rigide pour protéger la console. Aucun centimètre superflu, aucun creux inutile : tout est taillé au millimètre pour épouser les formes de la Switch 2.
Les joysticks, les gâchettes, les boutons — tout a sa place, moulé dans la doublure interne. La console est parfaitement calée, rien ne bouge. Et malgré ce niveau de précision, la coque reste très légère.

Le zip est de bonne qualité, fluide et silencieux, avec des embouts gravés du logo Mobapad. La poignée latérale est réglable, pratique, et elle aussi discrètement marquée.

À l’intérieur, on retrouve un coussin de calage qui vient maintenir la console contre la base. Il faut parfois ajuster un peu sa position au début, surtout si vous utilisez un grip, mais une fois bien placé, la console est parfaitement stable.
Un rabat protège l’écran et permet aussi de transporter jusqu’à 12 jeux, sans rajouter d’épaisseur.

Compatibilité avec les grips

J’ai testé la coque avec deux grips différents.
• Le Savage Raven est parfaitement compatible. Il faut simplement faire passer le coussin en dessous de la console, mais la coque se referme sans aucun souci.
• En revanche, avec un grip type PlayVital, plus épais, la console ne rentre plus. C’est un point à prendre en compte si vous jouez toujours avec des accessoires.

Limites à connaître
• Le coussin demande un petit temps pour comprendre comment bien le placer.
• Tous les grips ne passent pas, seuls les plus compacts.
• Il n’y a pas d’espace prévu pour transporter un chargeur secteur.

Mais ces limites sont directement liées à ce qui fait la force de cette coque : sa compacité extrême.

En résumé, la Mobapad P1 ultra slim est un accessoire pensé avec précision. C’est rare de voir une coque aussi fine, aussi bien ajustée et pourtant aussi protectrice. Elle ne cherche pas à tout faire, mais elle fait exactement ce pour quoi elle est conçue : protéger votre Switch 2 sans encombrement, avec une qualité de finition très soignée.
Pour une utilisation quotidienne, en sac ou à la main, c’est exactement ce qu’il me fallait.

I got this case in white for review. The closest comparison to it is the TomToc Slim which I also own in grey. It is basically the slimmest version of a protective case you can get. The biggest difference from the TomToc is a waxy/grippy feel to the case exterior compared to the TT’s cloth/canvas. It feels smooth and is probably wipeable if you were to get anything smudged on it.

I didn’t like the little pillow at the top of the TomToc or this case at first, but after opening and closing, I realize that the pillow helps keep the case “hinge” from putting pressure on the device. I got it in white because I often get and regret getting the most plain black or grey cases, so wanted to try something different. The blue and red accents match those on the Switch 2.

The P1 case feels premium quality and I’ll probably use it until I get my hands on some bigger 3rd party joy-cons that will eventually come out like Nyxi Hyperion or Mobapad M6. If Mobapad makes a case/controller combo for it with similar color and quality, I’ll probably grab that. The case did not fit with any 3rd party grips like the Genki Attack Vector (not even the smallest), so if you use those, you’ll probably need something slightly wider. I did consider a bigger case/grip combo like Satisfye, but most of my gaming would be at the hotel anyway, so I think the slimmest case saves a bit of backpack bulk.

My experience with the white Mobapad P1 Case.
It fits the Switch 2 very snug and secure. There's no unneeded extra space that would make the Switch 2 jostle around while inside the case.The case is very compact and slim overall. It has a cushion at the top that helps protect the Switch 2 when dropped. The case is very sturdy when applying some external force with my hands on the case it didn't cave in or pop. The color scheme is excellent. The blue handle and orangeish-red color zipper match the Joycons colors extremely well. Props to Mobapad for getting the colors right. The White Color is a pure white and not an off-white or yellowish white color which I am a huge fan of. The color makes the case look bold, attractive and premium.

The white exterior is water resistant I would say almost waterproof. I intentionally spilled some water on the white exterior and let it sit there and it didn't get absorbed into the material. It beaded off the case like it was nothing. However the zipper is definitely not as water resistant as the water got absorbed into the zipper.

The interior is black with a white accent around the cartridge holder. It is a soft velvet material that is premium and isn't gonna rub off when you touch it or leave dusty material on your screen. The cartridge holder automatically flips with the top of the case when you open it. so you have easy access to the Switch 2

The cartridge holder covers about half of the cartridge which is great for identifying the games. I hate when cartridges aren't able to be seen and you play a guessing game of which game is which. Right now, it is secure enough and keeps the games very snug but I worry over time that because it covers only half the cartridge that it could become loose and the cartridges could fall out.

I have consistently sweaty hands and the waxy material or water resistant material they use on the exterior of the case leaves a very small residue on my fingers that I don't particularly care for.This is a very small issue and It doesn't happen every time I touch or pick up the case only sometimes. I bet this issue will dissipate over time due to wear.

Overall I love this case and will be using it as my daily Switch 2 case. I have tried two other cases and this one is my favorite by far. The residue from my sweaty hands isn't a deal breaker. I feel that this case will protect my Switch 2 incredibly well.

Mobapad's Switch 2 case feels premium, protects well, and doesn’t press buttons or scratch the console. Fits 12 cartridges, but no room for extras. Works perfectly with official joy-cons. The spacer makes it easy to remove the console from the case. If you like the look, go for it!
