For the past few years, our team has been obsessed with one thing: solving the pain points that ruin your gaming experience. We believe that true value comes from constant innovation, not just copying what’s already out there.
The "Glide Stick" Revolution

When we first got our hands on the PRO2 controller in June 2025, we were analyzing it immediately. While the 9-axis motion sensor was impressive, the real shock was the joystick. We realized Nintendo had redefined the structure of joystick control. We call this the "Glide Stick" design.
The genius lies in three changes:
- Non-Contact Limits: The shaft no longer grinds against the faceplate edge. No contact means no wear.
- Silicone Tracks: A silicone track at the base replaces hard plastic friction. It’s naturally lubricated and elastic, preventing that dreaded "powdering" effect.
- Inverted Lock Structure: To prevent the soft silicone from sinking under pressure (which causes dead zones), the joystick cap and shaft are locked together. They glide gently over the track, reducing friction massively.
Why We Upgraded to TMR + LSR

The PRO2 design is great, but we saw room for perfection. For the Mobapad Chitu 2, we took the Glide Stick concept and pushed it further:
- LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber): We upgraded standard silicone to LSR. This achieves micron-level precision and is even smoother and more durable than the original PRO2 material.
- Mobapad TMR Hall Effect: The original PRO2 still used carbon film, which wears out. We swapped this for custom TMR Hall Effect sensors. No physical contact, higher precision, and lower power consumption.
We tuned the damping to feel like you are cutting through air—hence the name Glide Stick. It returns the joystick to its purest purpose: control without resistance.
The Challenge of Rumble and Compatibility
Let's address the elephant in the room: HD Rumble.
The PRO2’s HD 2.0 motors are proprietary Nintendo patents. Currently, no third-party manufacturer has a perfect substitute. But we aren't waiting. We’ve formed a dedicated R&D team with former ALPS engineers to develop our own linear motors. We hope to launch our 2.0 motor soon.
Two Versions for Two Types of Gamers
Because Switch 2 protocols are still evolving (we’ve cracked Bluetooth, wake-up, and 9-axis motion, but full backward compatibility is in progress), we designed the Chitu 2 with two distinct options:
- The HD Version: Uses Switch 1 protocols to support HD rumble on Gen 2 consoles. Perfect if you value immersion and vibration texture.
- The Standard Version: Uses Switch 2 protocols with standard rotor vibration. Choose this if you want the new "C" buttons and back-paddle functionality.
Conclusion
The Chitu 2 is currently leading the third-party market by a landslide. Even compared to the official PRO2, our upgraded TMR Glide Sticks offer superior comfort and damping. We are confident this is the controller you’ve been waiting for.
