An Update for Mobapad M12 HD Users

Dear Mobapad M12 HD Users,
First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for your honest feedback, patience, and continued support.
As this is our first global launch, we failed to communicate this clearly. Consequently, we failed to provide clear and timely information regarding the features of the Mobapad M12 HD during the pre-order phase. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this has caused to your gaming experience.
Section I
Regarding the Wake-up Feature
Our R&D team has successfully resolved the technical challenges regarding the wake-up function. We plan to push a firmware update next week. Once updated, the controllers will support Direct Console Wake-up, and this update will also resolve the light-bleeding issue at the gap.
Section II
Regarding the Charging
We would like to clarify the technical background: All Joy-Con controllers (including Switch Joy-Con 2) naturally consume power when connected to the console. Even in standby or sleep mode, they continue to draw power from the console’s battery.
During the development of the Mobapad M12 HD, we implemented a protective design to address the common pain point of “phantom battery drain.” To prevent the controllers from “stealing” power and depleting your console’s battery while it is asleep, the power supply to the controllers is cut off once the console enters Sleep Mode.
Currently, the Mobapad M12 HD supports these three charging methods:
Handheld Mode
With power-saving mode turned off, the console provides power to the controllers during use.
TV Mode
While the console is docked and active (with power-saving mode off), it provides power to the controllers.
Charging Grip
This allows the controllers to be powered independently at any time.
Moving forward, we will fully optimize our user guides and product descriptions to ensure all features are explained clearly before purchase, preventing such misunderstandings from recurring.

Sincere Apology & Exclusive Compensation
We recognize that the design philosophy of the Mobapad M12 HD differs from the habits many of you developed with the original Joy-Con 2. For the misunderstanding and inconvenience caused, we offer our sincerest apologies once again.
To address the needs of users who wish to charge their controllers even while the console is asleep, we are launching the following Compensation Program for users who purchased the Mobapad M12 HD during the pre-order period:
If you already purchased a Charging Grip
We will provide a full refund for the grip after it has shipped.
If you did NOT purchase a Charging Grip
We will send you one Charging Grip for FREE.
Going forward, the Mobapad M12 HD will be available as a standard bundle including the Charging Grip for users to choose from.
If you prefer a return or a full refund for your order, please feel free to contact us. All grip shipments and refund processes will be completed by May 31st.
